CANDIDATES INFO

Becoming a board member and serving the public is a tremendous responsibility. School board members must have the ability and knowledge to set policy and to approve budgets and programs that become the basis for operating the school district.

School board members must also commit the time to attend regular and special board meetings, committee meetings and workshops. Workshops help board members stay informed on issues that affect residents in this district.

To begin to help you gain more understanding of this role, a “Guide for Candidates” booklet published by WASB (Wisconsin Association of School Boards) is included as a link below.

Also included in the link is a board member reflection tool. If you are interested in running for a seat on the board, please take time to read through and reflect on this information/content.

To run as a candidate in the spring election, please fill out the Registration Statement and Declaration of Candidacy and return to the district office. Please email aschultz@fallriver.k12.wi.us or call 920-484-3333 x222 with any questions.

In this important time in public education, attracting quality board members to service is critical. Thank you for your interest in the Fall River School District.
