MRS. STEERS (ELEMENTARY SPECIAL EDUCATION)

My name is Mrs. Kim Steers and I am the Elementary Special Education teacher for the Fall River School District. This is my 19th year teaching in Fall River and my 22nd year overall in education.

I graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1992 and continued my education at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. After graduating from UWL in December 1997, I got my first job teaching and coaching volleyball and basketball in the Wabeno Area School District. I taught and coached there for two years. In the summer of 2000, I moved into the Fall River School District, in which I coached volleyball and was a substitute teacher. In May 2007, I received my Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I started teaching special education in 2001 and have been here ever since!

My family and I live in the Fall River School District. My husband is a 1989 graduate of Fall River School and my three children also attend Fall River School. Gunner is in 8th grade, Ella is in 6th grade and Addison is in 4th grade. The kids are involved in many school and rec activities, which keep us on the go all year long. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors and love traveling throughout Wisconsin on our summer adventures.
